Pearl, the Forgetful Girl©
Story 11
Discussion:
This an excellent story to talk about memory and remembering important things. You can ask your child to list all the important things they need to remember in a day. Then ask them how they remember.
You can also ask them to list the things they think you need to remember in a day. You can discuss ways you remember things.
Activities
Have your child make a clock out of a paper plate, making hands from construction paper. If you child knows how to tell time you can help him/her set the hands to certain times he must remember to do things. If they do not know how to tell time you can talk about how to use a clock.
Additional Activities
Your child can also make a calendar or you can use an old calendar) and mark off the days of the week he/she must remember to do things. Make a special note on the weekends, since Pearl forgot it was Saturday.
